Gene T. Rowe, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday July 15, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife Odell P. Rowe, brother, Milan Rowe, and his parents, George and Eloise Rowe.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served during the Vietnam War. He retired as a business consultant for CBA and enjoyed building and flying model helicopters and airplanes with friends and family. Gene was very selfless and saw everybody as a friend.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Moss of Rocky Mount; his son, Phil Gardner of Whitakers; his grandchildren, Stephanie Williams and her fiancée Brad, Phillip Gardner and his special friend Renee Cashwell, and Allison Moss; his brother, Skip Rowe and his wife Esther of Charlotte, NC, Joanne Willis and her husband Kenneth of Simpsonville, SC, and Anna Summerlin and her husband William of Bryan, TX. and of course his best friend and companion Klondike. A special thanks to family friends, Wesley and Tarina Daughtridge.
His family will receive family and friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Barbara Moss.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Johnson Funerals and Cremations, 661 English Road in Rocky Mount.
