Clarice Lloyd Flowers, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, March 11, 2012. He was born in Nash County June 21, 1932 to the late Wiley Robert and Myrtie Bryant Flowers.
Mr. Flowers was the owner and founder of West Mount Auto Sales and Foreman for A. R. Manning Construction Company for many years. He was a very active member of Faith Family Worship Pentecostal Holiness Church. His first love was God and serving his church. He served as Deacon for 30 years at West Mount Emmanuel Holiness Church and kept the PA system running. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cosette Manning Flowers of the home; son, Randy C. Flowers and wife, Angie of Rocky Mount; daughters, Gale Flowers Wright and husband, Steve of Raleigh, Debbie Flowers Baines of Nashville; brothers, Jack Flowers and wife, Sylvia of Zebulon, Bruce Flowers and wife, Caffie of Zebulon; sisters, Lula Gray Newcombe of Middlesex, Marybelle Phillips and husband, Herman of Wendell, Peggy Medlin and husband, Jerry of Rocky Mount, Linda Blackley and husband, Eugene of Clayton, Margie Flowers of Middlesex; grandchildren, Chelsea, Lindsey, and Kali Baines, Randall Flowers and wife, Jenna and Cody Flowers. Mr. Flowers was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Sherwood, Glen, and Cameron Flowers.
A service to celebrate his life will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Parker officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. A Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Manning Family Cemetery in Momeyer.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Faith Family Worship Pentecostal Holiness Church building fund, 4839 Redman Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
