James Howard Ward was born in 1941, the oldest son of Alfred and Elizabeth Ward. He enjoyed life to the fullest until his death on January 25, 2013, after a two-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Casey Ward; one daughter, Laura Langley, with husband Keith, and their children Jessica and Logan; one son, David Ward, with wife Beverly and her son Bryan; and one brother, Allen Ward. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as a host of beloved friends and family. James was preceded in death by his parents.
He was married in 1962 to Lillian Casey, to whom he was a faithful and loving husband for more than 50 years. They were inseparable in life.
During his final time of hospitalization, she sat faithfully by his bed and was with him at the moment of his home going.
James was a long-time member of Living Faith Fellowship Pentecostal Holiness Church, where he served over the years as deacon, usher, and sound technician.
Those close to him speak of how much he loved the Lord, his family, his friends, and his church. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
A celebration of his life will take place at Living Faith Fellowship on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00pm with Pastor Danny Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
