Donald Michael Brusin
Don passed away on February 13, 2014 at the age of 56. He was the son of Michael Brusin of San Mateo and Donna Tuttle Schwab and step-dad Ronald Schwab of Auburn. He also leaves a brother Matthew Brusin of Guam and a sister and brother-in-law Jane and Eric Narveson of Fremont, Calif. He was born in San Jose, Calif and has lived in Auburn for the past 22 years. His grandfather, Pierson Tuttle, a descendant of Auburn pioneers, was born here in 1912. Donald was proud to be the sixth generation of the Tuttle family to live in Auburn.
At the age of nine, Donald developed a brain tumor which resulted in mental and physical disabilities. In spite of these obstacles, Don was able to live a happy and useful life.
He graduated from Blackford High School in San Jose, was gainfully employed for many years, was independent, and even owned his own car. He enjoyed traveling to Europe, Guam, Japan, Okinawa, Korea, Hawaii and many continental U.S. states. He loved fishing, music, corny jokes, hot dogs with mustard, his family and friends. And everybody loved him.
Donald spent his last eight and a half years at Auburn Oaks Care Center where he received excellent care from a loving staff.
