Frank A. Law
05/23/1918 - 05/04/2014

Law, Frank A. Born May 23, 1918 San Francisco, Calif. Died May 4, 2014 Sacramento, Calif. Frank was one of the last of the Loomis oldtimers, living his entire life in Loomis with the exception of the last five years due to declining health. He was the oldest member of the Congregational Church in Loomis, a longtime member of the Penryn Masonic Lodge, former Loomis fire commissioner, the first Eagle Scout in Troop 12 Boy Scouts in Loomis, and former member of the Loomis Elementary School Board. Frank was a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War and achieved the rank of Master Sergeant while serving his country. He is survived by Maxine, his wife of 62 years, son Mike of Sacramento, stepdaughter Gail of Ada, Okla., granddaughter Beckie of Santa Monica, Calif., grandson Ryan of Sacramento, and sister Dorothee of Loomis. An avid ham radio operator, Frank volunteered much of his time with search and rescue in Placer County in the communications department. Most longtime Loomis residents will remember Frank as a partner of Law Brothers Hardware Store in Loomis which he co-operated from the 1930s to his retirement in the early 1990s when both he and his partner Jim Johnson, his brother-in-law, retired.
A memorial is in the planning stage for sometime near the end of June.
