Gregorio Castellón
8/10/1958 - 7/1/2013
Resident of Roseville, California

Gregorio Castellón passed away peacefully on July 1, 2013 in Roseville, California. He blessedly fought cancer for eight years.
Gregorio was born in Atenguillo and raised in Los Volcanes, Jalisco, Mexico until the age of 20. He continued the remainder of his life living in Northern California. He married in 1981 to Cecille Doi and had two sons, Jorge Fernando Castellon and Gregorio Alejandro Castellon; two grandchildren, Isaiah and Sophia; and a loving canine companion, "Queenie". He was employed at Carlton Construction for over 10 years and was a member of the Laborers Local 185 Union.
He was born to the (late) Apolión and Valentina Castellón. Gregorio will forever be remembered and cherished by his brothers and sisters, Bertha, Candelario, Chuy, Lucio, Maricela, Leticia, and Beto; along with countless siblings, family and friends whom were blessed to know him.
Gregorio warmed our lives with his generosity and compassion. He opened his heart and home to a lifelong journey and commitment of caring for rabbits, birds, and farm friendly animals. He was well known for his green thumb; he possessed a treasured gift of bringing back the life of plants, trees, grasses and flowers. Gregorio enjoyed fishing, listening and dancing to the sounds of Banda Machos and Vicente Fernández "El Rey de la Canción Ranchera" and spending time with family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday July 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 615 Vine Ave, Roseville, California 95678. Services will be held in Spanish and English. Gregorio's final resting place will be Los Volcanes, Jalisco, Mexico.
