Jackson L. Sweeden(1939 - 2013)

Jack lost his battle with cancer on October 10, 2013 in Roseville, Calif. He was born August 6, 1939 in Pawnee Okla. In 1943 his parents relocated to Gridley Calif. They lived there until they moved to Lincoln Calif., when he was a teenager. He would spend most of his life in Lincoln.
Jack worked for years as a bartender, working at both the Yukon Club and The Weeping Willow Tavern in Lincoln. He then went to work as a custodian for the Lincoln School District. In the mid 1980's Jack took a job at McCellan Air Force Base where he worked until his retirement.
Jack's lifelong hobby was music, and he was an excellent musician. During the 60's and 70's he played lead guitar in several of the better bands in the area.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Ross and Lela Sweeden, as well as his stepson Donald McGill.
Jack is survived by: his two daughters and two stepsons; Jackallyn Sweeden of Portland, Oregon, Heidi Sweeden of Roseville, Calif., Tim McGill, Mark Mcgill of Carmichael, Calif., ex wife, Margaret Sweeden of Portland Oregon. Jack had five grandchildren.
Jack is also survived by: two brothers and four sisters. Albert Ray Sweeden of Lincoln, Calif, Estes Franklin Sweeden of Myrtle Point, Oregon, Laura Lann of Oroville, Calif., Mary Torrez of Roseville, Calif., Betty Thomson of Orem, Utah, and Daisy Hall of Myrtel Point, Oregon.
He also will be missed by numerous Nieces and Nephews.
