Lucila Felix Tabios passed away peacefully on January 6, 2013, in Auburn. She was surrounded by her loving family during the last hours of her blessed life.
She was born in Manila, Philippines, on April 15, 1921. She moved to San Francisco on May 6, 1961, to join her husband, Bienvenido Tabios, who was a merchant marine with the U.S. Navy. She moved to Auburn in May 2012 to live with her daughter.
She graduated from Far Eastern University in 1949 with a Bachelors degree in Education. She worked for the Federal government for 25 years until she retired. She loved to quilt, sew, and travel. She loved being with family most of all.
She is survived by her daughter, Yolanda Tabios Sanchez (husband, Garry); son, Orlando Tabios (wife, Marissa); grandchildren: Nadine Mannion Moody (husband, Jay), Leo Mannion, Yvette Mannion, Lucas, Tony, Nina, and Alex Tabios, Richard Sanchez; great-grandchildren: Zoey, Aliyah, and Kava Moody; Avery and Ethan Mannion; brothers: Ernesto, Perry, and Juan Felix; sisters: Conchita Felix and Remy Felix Sino Cruz; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Gaudencia Felix; brothers: Ruben and Rafael Felix.
Service will be held on January 16, 2013, at Lassila's Funeral Chapel in Auburn, at 10:30 a.m.
