Margaret M. Patrick
Margaret M. Patrick, 87 of Emmett, Idaho formerly of Auburn, Calif., passed away August 11, 2013 in Emmett.
Mrs. Patrick was born October 30, 1925 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was raised in Flaxton, North Dakota. She moved to Auburn in 1947 with her former husband, Lawrence Jorgensen and remarried in 1973 to John H. Patrick. She lived in Auburn for 59 years before she moved to Idaho in 2006. Margaret worked outside the home doing waitress work in local restaurants over the years. Her last place of employment was for Sutter Hospital as a cook, then she retired at the age of 63. She volunteered her services in her local church, Bethlehem Lutheran. She also volunteered her time with various community projects like the Christmas Basket programs, which she enjoyed doing along with home gardening.
She is survived by her husband, John H. Patrick of Emmett, Idaho, a former resident of Auburn; her six children, Charles Jorgensen of Antioch, Calif., Mary Jorgensen of Folsom, Calif., David Jorgensen of Rocklin, Calif., Carol (Jorgensen) Hersman of Emmett, Idaho, Donna (Jorgensen) Cates of Pasco, Wash., and Helen (Jorgensen) Newberry of Emmett, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday, August 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1279 High Street, Auburn, Calif. Interment will follow in the New Auburn District Cemetery. Local arrangements are with Chapel of the Hills in Auburn.
