Mary Alice Brazil

Mary was the middle child of a large Portuguese family from a small San Joaquin Valley town. Mary married Dave Brazil in 1953, having first met at a Portuguese Festa in Gustine. During their nearly 60 years of marriage she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. They settled down in Fremont in 1957. There they raised their family for the next 26 years before making a move to country living in Auburn in 1983. After 26 years they moved back to the Bay Area to be closer to their family. Mary always enjoyed cooking, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and going to church and community events. She volunteered for several groups and organizations throughout her life. Mary was a very giving person, very enjoyable to spend time with, and always there for her family through every stage of their lives. She was a wonderful example of how to live a life of grace and love. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
