Mary Elizabeth Moe
02/11/15 - 09/14/13
Beth was born and raised in Minong, Wisconsin with her sister Peggy. Her family was of Swedish decent. She played the piano beautifully. She attended St. Lukes Hospital nursing school, graduated in 1936 and went to work in surgery. In 1941 she took a bus to California and got a job at Methodist Hospital in surgery. She met her husband Everett and were married in July 1942. They lived in Los Angeles and then built a house in La Crescent and raised 3 kids, John, Mary, and Michael. She was very active in church, kids, and family activities. Family was always Beth and Everett's priority. They loved traveling and went all over the U.S. seeing the sights and visiting family and friends. She kept in good contact with all of her family. Their dream came true when they were able to travel to Sweden in 1963 and met Everett's beloved Swedish relatives. They saved and borrowed for 4 years to make the trip. She and Everett moved to Newcastle , by their daughter, in 1996. Everett died in 1998. On September 14th Beth died, at home with family, peacefully. Mom and dad taught us the importance of God in our lives, family, sharing and caring for others. We will miss her so much but find comfort in knowing that she is now with her heavenly father and Everett. She is survived by her sister Peggy and husband Wayne Koski, her children John and Doris, Mary Robbins, and Mike and wife Jamie, 9 grand children and 9 great grand children.
Her funeral was 09-20-13 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
