Trudy Braendle passed away on December 3, 2012 at Rocklin, California at the age of 85.
Trudy is survived by her sister, Catherine Sisbarro of Jacksonville Fla.; son, Charles Braendle of Phoenix Ariz.; son, Wayne Braendle of Middletown N.J.; daughter, Debbie Sullivan of Carolina Beach N.C.; daughter, Patti Brown of Loomis Calif.; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Jennings; and her husband, Charles Braendle who was a World War II Veteran.
Born Gertrude Theresa Jennings on January 1, 1927 in Newark N.J., to Patrick and Catherine Jennings, Trudy grew up along the Jersey shore. After graduating from high school she married Charlie on September 20, 1947 and later settled in Middletown where they raised their family. Trudy also held a number of retail positions, eventually retiring from Love Lane Bridal Studio in Red Bank N.J. Trudy and Charlie moved to California in 1998 as the first residents of the Springfield Whitney senior community. They loved to travel particularly by cruise ship around Alaska and Hawaii! Trudy will leave a lasting memory on those she came into contact with.
Trudy will be interred along with Charlie at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery for Veterans in Dixon Calif. A brief committal service will be held on December 31, 2012 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please do something kind for someone today and remember Trudy with joy in your heart.
