Clyde "Gil" Steagall
1937 - 2014


Gil passed away from prostate cancer on January 23, 2014 at Kindred Care Home in Auburn, Calif., with family by his side. He was born in Bard, Calif., on December 4, 1937 to Clyde and Jean Steagall. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a general engineering contractor for 43 years.
Gil loved his family and friends. He also loved to go camping in the desert, riding his motorcycle, and his passion was gold dredging.
Gil is preceded in death by his father Clyde R. Steagall. He is survived by: his wife of 52 years, Dee; sons, Mike (Michele) and Ron (Debbie); 8 grandsons, Randy, David, Brian, Eric, Quincy, Ryan, Zach, and Tyler; 1 granddaughter, Mikaela, and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Jean Hubbard, and his sister Joyce Wadsworth of Sparks, Nev.
