Elsbeth Mueller Obituary

Elsbeth Mueller
11/24/1916 - 1/11/2013

Elsbeth Mueller, a resident of Auburn for 52 years passed away in her home on January 11, 2013 due to congestive heart failure. She was 96 years old.
She was born in Halberstadt, Germany on November 24, 1916 to Paul and Emma Kuehn. A survivor of the horrors of World War II, Elsbeth found new life and hope when she met the love of her life and dance partner, Oskar Mueller. They married and later made the decision in 1951 to immigrate to America on a ship called "General Taylor."
Oskar preceded her in death in December, 2001.
The uncertainty and tragedy that Elsbeth endured in the war only served to strengthen her will to live her life out fully.
Reading the Auburn Journal with a cup of coffee and a doughnut was something she did every morning. In addition, she loved gardening which gave her great satisfaction. She was a member of the Garden Club also. She was very fashionable and loved high heels and pearl necklaces. Children were very special to her. She loved her two little chihuahuas, Lola and Gabriella which she called her "babies."
On behalf of Elsbeth, we want to thank our family and friends, Sutter Auburn Faith Hospice for their compassionate care of Elsbeth in her last four days spent here on this earth.
A celebration of her life will be held on January 19, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Authentic Life Church, 258 Elm Ave.
