Erma L. Rolufs

Erma Lorene Dye Rolufs was born January 31, 1919 to Randolph and Odessa Dye. Erma and Carl Rolufs were married June 29, 1939 and four children were born to them in Missouri before moving to California in 1947. Erma was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She worked at Weimar Sanitorium for fourteen years in the diet kitchen. She was an active member of the Rebekah Lodge for over fifty years.
Erma shared her beautiful sewing, crocheting, embroidery, and other handiwork generously with loved ones. She made many trips "home" to Missouri to visit with family and friends. She loved her Lord and Savior and enjoyed singing gospel hymns.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Rolufs and their daughter, Judith Ann Rolufs. She is survived by her children Larry (LaWanda) Rolufs, Carlene Hamilton, and Nina (Ian) Whitman, brothers Pete Dye and Burless (Nellie) Dye, sister Shirley Coffelt, many wonderful grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday June 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Auburn, 710 Auburn Ravine Road. Interment will follow at the Colfax Cemetery and we will continue with the celebration of her life with a fellowship potluck at Sierra Vista Community Center, 55 School St in Colfax. Arrangements are being made by Sierra Foothills Funeral Services.
