Floretta Morgan
10/7/1918 - 3/13/2013
Floretta Morgan, beloved friend, neighbor and community presence, died March 13, 2013 at her home in Auburn. She was 94.
After moving to California from her native Illinois, Floretta lived in the Auburn area for more than fifty years. She worked as a waitress in several local restaurants for most of those years and made many friends.
In the springtime, Floretta's yard became a virtual rainbow of flowers. Her numerous trees, plants, bushes, and bulbs that she lovingly planted and nurtured through the years were her pride and joy. They, and she, brought us beauty and smiles.
Floretta loved animals. She was a much anticipated and welcome joy to young and old alike, daily walking her little dog. She rescued many a stray cat. Giving it love, food, and medical care. And finding many of them a good home. Floretta had a heart for the unloved, be it animals or people.
Floretta, we will miss you, our "Little Flower" and we will always love you.
Floretta was buried privately, as she requested, in the Auburn Cemetery, on a gentle slope, near a tree filled with pink blossoms.
