Gerald (Jerry) passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 8:45 p.m. from Leukemia and Pneumonia at Sutter Hospital in Roseville, CA.
Jerry was born in Watsonville, Calif., on April 10, 1933. He worked on the farm as a child. After graduating from high school he worked for Standard Oil, Watsonville Police Department, and as an investigator for the Santa Cruz District Attorneys office. He retired in 1986.
In 1990 Jerry and his wife Helen moved to Eureka, Calif. Jerry was an accomplished fisherman and wood carver. In 2003 Jerry and Helen moved to Sun City Lincoln Hills, Calif., and fell in love with the area.
He was a caring and loving husband who was fun and always made you laugh. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Helen of 53 years; Sister-in-law, Frances Richardson of Eureka; Sister and Brother-in-law Kathy and George Botelito of San Jose; Brother-in-law, William Richardson and wife Marie; Cousin Melvin Dutro of Hawaii; and many Nieces and Nephews.
Per Jerry's wishes there will be no services. Cremation has been entrusted to The Lambert Funeral Home. His remains will be taken to Oceanview Cemetery, Sunset Memorial Park, Eureka, CA.
Contributions may be made in his name to your favorite charity.

Dear Helen, we are so sad to hear about your loss. We'll surely remember what a talented woodworker and artist he was, what a fun and loyal friend and partner he was for Sam, and that Jerry always put a smile on our faces. Our hearts go out to you.
