Jacqueline Ann Esry, 76, of Auburn, Calif. passed away Jan 20, 2014, after a long illness. Jackie was born February 25, 1937 in Kansas City, Mo. She moved to Auburn, Calif. in 1965. She worked many years at AT&T, before becoming post mistress of the Old Town Post Office from which she retired in 2008. During her tenure as post mistress she was a tireless advocate for the post office presence in old town Auburn. Jackie’s greatest loves were collecting and selling antiques, her friends, and family.
Jackie was preceded in death by husband, Gary Esry, son Greg Esry, and both parents, Stella Pryor Franklin & Andrew Pryor along with her brothers, Richard Pryor & John H. Franklin.
Survivors include her son, Garret Esry, her grandson Matthew, along with her sister and brother- in-law Lillie L. and Michael Ragland of Overland Park, Kan., all of whom will miss her deeply.
