Levi Donald Kuhn
Levi Donald Kuhn was born June 25, 1938 in Whitemouth, Manitoba. He was raised in Kelowna British Columbia. He attended Okanagan Academy, Canadian Union College, and Walla Walla College, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics in 1961. He entered Loma Linda University, graduating with a Medical Degree in 1966. He had married Rose Marie Olson, June 9, 1963. His internship was served in Washington, D.C., and his ophthalmology residency in Columbia, Mo., and Toronto, Ont. His two sons, Troy and Mark, were born in 1970 and 1972. In July 1971, Levi set up his ophthalmology practice in Roseville, California. In 1999 he joined Medical Vision Technology. This practice continued until May 2013, along with a part-time practice in Auburn, Calif., from 1999-2007. Levi was a devout Christian and keen Bible student. He greatly enjoyed bird-watching and gardening,he was a successful back-packer and camper, and took an interest in golf. In 2009, Levi was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, which was stable until early 2013. He died May 30, 2013 at Sutter Roseville Hospital, age 74. Levi is survived by his wife Rose Marie, and sons, Troy (Michelle) and Mark. Grandchildren: Ashleigh Rose Kuhn, Meghan Joelle Kuhn, and Tyler Levi Kuhn. Brother: Lloyd Kuhn, of Hayfork, Calif., and sister Dorothy Holm, Battleground, Washington.
Memorial service will be June 22 2013 at 4:30 p.m. at Auburn Seventh Day Adventist Church at 12225 Rock Creek Road, Auburn, 95602.
