Mara Wieland Obituary

Mara Lu Wieland
03/02/1936 - 02/07/11

Mara Lu Wieland, 74, of Roseville, Calif. passed away Feb. 7 in Redding, Calif.
She was born March 2, 1936, in American Fork, Utah to Doyle William and Lilas Evelyn Iorg. She married Daniel Wieland in 1959 and they later divorced.
Although Mara Lu was born in Utah she lived most of her life in Calif., but also in Iowa and Minn. Mara Lu grew up a self proclaimed tomboy and loved her horses. As an adult she loved her children even more and was involved in all of their activities including Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and PTA just to name a few. In 2006 Mara Lu's mother came to live with her, at which time she retired to take care of her mom full time.
Mara Lu is survived by: two sons, Steven Doyle (Debra) of Texas and Ivan Frederick of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Cynthia Dan'l (Roy) Marshall of Roseville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, William of Redding; and a sister, Bonnie Lewellan of California.
Mara Lu was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers, Richard and Larry Iorg; and a grandson, Jeremy.
Memorial service is from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Eskaton Roseville Manor, Roseville.
The family would like to acknowledge the care and compassion Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel of Palo Cedro showed in taking care of Mara Lu's cremation.
