Michael Albert
Roberts
3/20/1955 - 8/11/2013

Michael Albert Roberts passed away suddenly on August 11, 2013 at Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital. He was born on March 20, 1955 in Ramstein, Germany, to the late Milton "Bob" Roberts and Gertraud "Trudy" (Heinz) Roberts. When Michael was 18 months old, the family moved to Topeka, Kansas, finally settling in Camarillo (Ventura County) when Michael was in third grade. Michael attended Adolfo Camarillo High School where he met his soul mate, Linda Koch. Michael and Linda were married on January 25, 1975. Their daughters, Jennifer and Michelle were both born in Ventura County. The family relocated to Auburn in December 1989.
Michael started working in the manufacturing industry as a machinist at a young age and spent 35 years in the field. After relocating to Auburn, Michael continued his work as a machinist, working at Vian Enterprises and Rocklin Precision Machining, Inc.
Michael enjoyed fishing, target shooting, his beloved Dodgers, his long-suffering Rams and taking his dogs to the dog park and Lake Arthur. He enjoyed his motorcycle as a fair-weather rider and making his views known while wearing his favorite T-shirts. He took pleasure in exercising and the attention he received from the ladies at his daily water aerobics classes at Auburn Racquet Club. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his role as Grandpa to his precious granddaughter, Rachel.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by a brother, Donald Roberts, of Colcord, Okla.; daughter Michelle Roberts of Auburn and daughter, Jennifer (Roberts) Duvall; son-in-law, Joel Duvall; and granddaughter, Rachel of Roseville.
A celebration of life will be held at Auburn Grace Community Church in Auburn on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. Please join the family for refreshments immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ashley Memorial Dog Park Foundation, 578 Lincoln Way, Auburn, CA 95603.
