Robert Creasy Obituary

Robert Creasy
2/27/27-11/29/10

Dad to us, Grandpa to all - Robert Creasy passed away at home after a short illness on November 29, 2010.
Robert's love-Grace-passed away in 2009 and he greatly missed her. Robert is survived by his Children, Tim (Debbie), Kerry (Catherine), Jon (Patty) and Marta (Rob Brockel), Grandchildren - Jason, Jennifer, Kyle, Forest, Amber, John, Jamie, Nicole and Sammantha and five great-grandchildren. Dad resided in Folsom since 1957; he was owner of Folsom Lumber until his retirement in 2005. Dad was a past member of the Folsom Parks Commission and Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Folsom City Lions Club and various Lumberman Assocs. Dad was a veteran of World War II, serving in Japan as part of the 11th Airborne. Dad loved building off road dune buggies and racing with his sons and especially grandson Forest. More than anything Dad was a family man, he was always in the stands for every ball game, graduation and school play. He never said no. He loved telling stories, especially about growing up with his four sisters, three brothers and tons of cousins in the Arizona Desert. He was a great man, more importantly he was a good man and will be dearly missed.
A celebration for Robert and Grace will be held on January 15, 2011 from 1 to 5 p.m., at 9928 Inwood Road, Folsom. 916-988-1621 for info.

Papa Creasey (as our family all knew him) will be greatly missed in the Vorra racing family. He always had a smile and a story to share.

I was always treated with respect and courtesy by Bob when I first started buying supplies at Folsom Lumber in the 70's. He always had time to chat for a minute and I enjoyed hearing talk about the good old days with Copeland Lumber in Bend, Oregon. We will miss Bob here in Folsom.

I met Bob Creasy at his Folsom Lumber store about 30 years ago. He was always warm, friendly and encouraging; he was very welcoming to me when I was one of the new kids in town.. On more than one occasion back in the 1980s I got myself into hot water at city hall, but he never criticized me for it and he never scorned me. He and Bud Hannaford were Folsom's best gentlemen of that era. Bob Creasy will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Bob Holderness

There will be an empty chair at the holiday table this year, but it will be filled with loving memories.
