Sally was born in Omaha, Nebr., on April 5, 1921 and went to heaven on November 29, 2012 at age 91.
She married Dr. Nicholas Bailey on December 18, 1945. The Baileys moved from Nebr., to Lincoln, then to Loomis. She was a "Supermom" to her kids and grandkids, very active in her church and community, including Del Oro Parents' Club and Roseville Hospice. She belonged to Chapter BL P.E.O., the "Mustn't Miss" bridge club, church choir and council.
She was preceded in death by her son, Nick Jr.; and her husband of 51 years, Nick. She is survived by her sons: James, Frank (Diane) and Doug (Mary); and daughters: Diana (Jon), Penny and Barbara (Kevin); 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of good friends. She will be remembered for her abundant love for all, her warm hugs, grace and service to the community.
A memorial service will be held at the Methodist Church in Loomis on December 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. Contributions can be made in her name to 1st United Methodist Church, 6414 Brace Rd., Loomis, CA 95650; or to Sutter Care at Home/Hospice, 1836 Sierra Gardens Dr., Suite 130, Roseville, 95661.
