Rebecca Sue Martin Scott
1950 - 2013

Rebecca was born in Caraway Arkansas on November 9 1950 to Alene Norman Brouhard, she attended elementary school in Salinas Calif., and high school in Monterey Calif. The next five years she spent sailing the California coast. Rebecca then began a career as a professional cleaning technician and worked at Sharpe Army Depot in Stockton and later worked for 15 years at the Gold Run rest area and Snow Flower resort in Yuba City. While in Stockton, she worked for many years as a banquet captain at the Hilton. In 1992 she moved to the mountains and soon fell in love and married her husband Tim Scott, they lived in the Colfax and Blue Canyon area for the rest of her life. Rebecca became an avid rock hound and gold miner. Her love of the American River was endless and thousands of hours were spent hiking, swimming, and camping in the wild and scenic North Fork Canyon. She had a tremendous love of animals and humans alike; she had a true passion for collectable chickens.
Forever missed, Rebecca is survived by: her husband Timmy of Colfax, sons Jim Martin (Liz) of Gilroy, Ted Scott of Sacramento, daughter Amber Scott of Sacramento, her best friend and sister Gail Thomas (Dan) of Auburn, her brother Carl Brouhard (Linda), nephew Matthew Brouhard, and grand children Deandre and Adriana Scott, many uncles, aunts, cousins, and other family members too numerous to list.
Rebecca will be laid to rest in the early spring when the wild flowers bloom. We love you "Boots".
