I first met Vern through La Voz Latina, where he volunteered for many years. One day Vern invited me out to lunch and offered me his friendship and humble words of wisdom. From that day on and for many years we remained good friends. I always admired his kind soul and his sincere concern for those in need. Thank you Lord for the gift of his friendship. Vern will be greatly missed!

Ann and family-
Vern was such an incredible man. I met him through his work with the local CEF office. His vision and passion for the Lord's work, his obvious love and pride of his family, and his generosity continue to teach me lessons in living. Thank you for sharing him with us.

You get to know someone when you work on the opposite side of a business transaction. Vern and I worked on many transactions over the some 30 years that I knew him. He was always honest, compassionate, considerate and professional in every way. The legal profession has lost another "good guy". My sympathies to David and Vern's entire family.
