WANDA J. HENDRICKSON, 77 STILLMAN VALLEY - Wanda J. Hendrickson, 77, longtime resident of Stillman Valley, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in Rochelle Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. Born June 13, 1935, in Chana; the daughter of Hiram and Esther (Davison) Ludwig. Wanda was a 1953 graduate of Ashton High School, and married David Hendrickson on April 24, 1955, at the First Presbyterian Church of Ashton. She was the librarian for the Julia Hull Library in Stillman Valley for 35 years, served as an election judge for 56 years, and was involved in outdoor education with Stillman Valley Elementary School for seven years. Wanda was a member of WBCCI Airstream Club for 25 years, Blackhawk Twirlers Square Dancing Club, Stillman Valley PTA and was dispatcher for the Stillman Valley Fire Protection District. Survived by husband, David of Stillman Valley; children, Susan Morris of Rockford, Douglas (Judy) Hendrickson of DeKalb, Karen (Arnie) Leitzinger of Algoma, Wis., and Jeffrey (Amy) Hendrickson of Byron; grandchildren, Crystal, LeAnna, Micaela and Mckenzie; great- grandchildren, Gianna and Remi; brother, Hiram Ludwig of Dixon; and sister, Neva Becker of Rochelle. Predeceased by her parents; brothers, Melvin, James and Gerald; and sister, Edris Myers. Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Stillman Valley, with Pastor Joy Meyers officiating. Burial in Stillman Valley Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, in the funeral home. Memorials in Wanda's name may be made to Julia Hull Library or Stillman Valley Fire Protection District.
