KATHERINE H. BODEY, 89 BELVIDERE - Katherine H. Bodey, 89, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, after a short illness. Katherine was born March 5, 1924, in Beloit, WI; the daughter of Albert and Hazel Mae (Robbins) Footh. Katherine graduated from Belvidere High School and was employed by Chrysler Corporation. She married Robert Bodey on November 17, 1951. Katherine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was very active. Survivors include her children, Brenda (Paul) Falk of Poplar Grove, Rusty (Jill) Bodey of Poplar Grove, Kevin (Patti) Bodey of Belvidere; grandchildren, Amber, Justin and Nathan Bodey, Grace and Jacob Bodey, Darren (Ramona) Lanning, Josh (Sarah) Falk, Jarrod Falk; nieces and nephews. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; siblings; and son, Terry Norton in 1973. Special thanks to the nurses and staff on 4 East at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, as well as the staff at Maple Crest and Northwoods. Special thanks to my grandson, Jacob Bodey and my son, Rusty, for helping me. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 E. Belvidere Rd., Belvidere, IL, with Rev. Allan Buss, pastor officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church. Memorials can be given in care of the Keen-Age Center or Helping Hands of Immanuel Lutheran Church. To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit buckwheelerhyland.com.

Kevin and Family, So Sorry for your loss. Kelli and I got to see your mom on saturday May,11,2013. When our 4-H club had a petting Zoo visit at Maplecrest. I had brought my minature horse that day and she loved seeing my horse. It was good to see her. Love to you and your family. God Bless You and She is in heaven now with Our Lord and Savior. Amen.
