GEORGE GILBERT GENTZEL, 76 PARKER, Colo. - George Gilbert Gentzel, 76, of Parker, Alachua, Fla., and Rockton, Ill., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012. George was born May 18, 1936, in Sugar Grove Township, Ill., to Melvin B. and Bertha Gentzel. He was a commercial roofer at Carlson Roofing for many years before retiring. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of High Springs, Fla., Blackhawk BMW riders, collected American Flyer trains and was involved in breeding and showing national caliber Welsh ponies with his wife, Thalia Rinedollar Gentzel. He is survived by children, George Gentzel Jr., Laurie Mills, Gary Gentzel, Marcia Harris and Marie Langhoff; stepdaughters, Molly Rinedollar and Anne Rinedollar; 10 grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Predeceased by beloved and treasured wives, Barbara Gentzel (1986) and Thalia Rinedollar Gentzel (2011). Memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at First United Methodist Church of Belvidere, Belvidere, Ill.

George dont like talking on facebook sorry to hear about your dad I am glad I got to know your Dad i am sure he didn't agree with alot we did just like my dad but we learned alot from them to make us who we are today. Stay strong buddy, we need to keep in touch.

You were lucky to have George in your life and your mothers life but he was one lucky fellow to have you as a daughter and Thalia as a partner. He will be remembered for his love for his family.....two legged and four! You are in my thoughts Molly and wish I could be there for you...xx

George and Thalia both were truly special people. I knew them both very well, and this saddens my heart. May they be re-united in heaven above. My deepest sympathy for all the family and friends.
