RUSSELL O. DEUTH, 59 ROCKFORD - Russell O. Deuth, 59, of Rockford, formerly of Chana, died Monday Nov. 19, 2012 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born Nov. 26, 1952, in Oregon, son of Lyle and Donna (Heng) Deuth. He was a 1970 graduate of Oregon High School and lived in Rockford, where he was employed by the Postal Service for 25 years. Russ enjoyed playing his many stringed instruments and time spent with friends Don, Mike and Dave. Survived by parents, Lyle and Donna Deuth of Chana; brothers, Stuart (Linda) Deuth and Duane Deuth of Chana and Robert (Joanna) Deuth of Oregon; sister, Elizabeth (David) Dibbles of Oregon; nieces, Theresa and Emily; and nephews, Joe, Dennis, Jacob, William and Joshua. Predeceased by grandparents, John and Mabel Heng and Millard and Mary Deuth; and infant sister, Roxanne. In keeping with Russ's wishes, cremation will take place and no services are scheduled. Memorials may be made in his name to any local animal shelter. The family was assisted with arrangements by Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon. It's always difficult when we suffer a loss of a friend or loved one during the holiday season. Know that there is support available in your time of grief. Our sincerest condolences and prayers go out to all of Russ' family and friends and hope they'll find comfort and serenity. Russ was a gentle and kind soul and I'm sure Russ will be dearly missed by those who knew him on this journey of life.
