CHRISTOPHER ALAN DEHMER, 43 ROCKFORD - Christopher Alan Dehmer, 43, of Rockford passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 24, 2015. Born April 9, 1972, in Arlington Heights, IL, to Gary and Arlene (Juern) Dehmer. Christopher was a graduate of Jefferson High School, Class of 1990. He was an athlete and avid sports fan. He will be remembered most for his smile and always thinking of others. Survivors include his parents; son, Christopher Jordan; siblings, Deanne and Corey; stepfather, Bob; special friend, Michelle S.; 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Predeceased by his grandparents; and niece, Rylie Jean. A visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Denny, Irene - Rockford  
IRENE LOUISE DENNY, 75 ROCKFORD - Irene Louise Denny, 75, of Rockford, departed this earthly life May 23, 2015, at Fairhaven Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born August 26, 1939, in Athens, Alabama; the daughter of Jerry and Della Cannon. Irene lived 72 years in Rockford, coming from Athens. She married Delbert Deny Sr. in Rockford, July 12, 1958. Irene was employed several years by the Rockford Public School District #205 before retiring. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church, serving in the Golden Ages Choir, the Kitchen Committee and with the Girl Scouts. She graduated from East High School. Irene leaves to cherish many loving memories, her husband, Delbert Sr.; son, Delbert (Wanda) Denny Jr.; daughters, Angela Holliman and Diahann Woodard; five grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; and her sister, Idella (Luther) Rainer. She was predeceased by her parents, and her brother, Roy McLin. Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Providence Baptist Church, 2209 Clifton Avenue, with Pastor DeCarto Draper officiating. No viewing will be held. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements completed by Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State Street.
