WILLIAM E. GIBSON SR., 83 CHERRY VALLEY - William E. Gibson Sr., 83, passed away in his Cherry Valley home, surrounded by family, on Friday June 26, 2015. Born in Rockford on June 10, 1932 to Rudolph M. Gibson and Marie J. (Deutsch) Gibson. William served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Later, William married his true love, Marilyn M. Gustin, and together they raised a beautiful family. William worked as a Trim and Die Maker for over 42 years with Rockford Drop Forge before retiring in 1994. William was a lifelong member of the Cherry Valley Sportsman's Club and Harmony Singing Society and enjoyed anything outdoors including gardening, fishing and hunting. His greatest interest was spending time with his family. William is survived by his wife Marilyn; children Cherie (Darius) Dayton, Nicole ( Bruce) Widergren, Michael (Marsha) Gibson, William Gibson, Jr., Timothy (Rhonda) Gibson and Suanne ( Brad) Carmichael; 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren; brothers Rudolph, Richard, and Robert and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by his sons Ronald and Robert, parents, Rudolph and Marie, brother, Frank and sister, Barbara Suanne. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, with a visitation from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Military honors at Cherry Valley Twps. Cemetery. KENNETH W. GEORDT, 58 ROCKFORD - Kenneth W. Geordt, 58, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at his residence with family by his side. Kenneth was born in Rockford on March 21, 1957, the son of William Dale and Grace (Burns) Geordt. Kenneth married Margaret M. Dahlin on June 30, 1984. Kenneth was previously employed at ELCO Industry. Kenneth was a member of Eagle Club, White Eagle Club, Blackhawk Club and Lombardi Club. He loved going with his dad and meeting his friends everyday at Latham West. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Margaret (Red); daughter, Michelle Geordt; son, Kenneth Geordt, Jr.; love of his life, granddaughter, Madyson; father, William; brother, Tom (Jane) Geordt; sister, Peggy Geordt; several nieces, nephews, very close friends and family. Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother, Grace. The family would like to offer a special thanks to niece, April Edwards, RMH and VNA Hospice, for all the loving care that was given to Kenneth. A service to celebrate Kenneth's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Advantage Funeral Home, 7000 W. State St. in Rockford. Graham, Betty  
BETTY F. GRAHAM, 86 ROCKFORD - Betty F. Graham, 86, died Thursday, June 18, 2015. Born September 11, 1928, in Chicago, Il. to Howard and Elizabeth Ferguson. She married Robert A. Graham in 1953. Betty was passionate about her children, grandchildren, baking, anything chocolate, amateur photography, following the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps and participating as a member of their Booster Club for many years. Survivors: children, Cynthia "Cindi" Corey, Chuck (Lynn), Craig (Nancy), and Candi Graham; grandchildren, Jordon and Sami Graham; brothers, David and John Ferguson. Predeceased by husband; sister, Audrey. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park, IL. Visitation 1:30 until time of service. Grogan, Nadine  
NADINE A. GROGAN, 84 ROCKFORD - Nadine A. Grogan, 84, of Rockford, was called home Thursday, June 18, 2015. She was born in Jacksonville, IL, on January 16, 1931; to parents, Jabus G. and Lula Mae (Frogge) Worrall. She graduated from Jacksonville High School, and went on to marry her beloved husband, John T. Grogan, Sr., on June 27, 1949. Nadine was a devoted member of Central Christian Church, a member of the Home Extension of Winnebago, and enjoyed spending her free time serving others. She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, John T. Grogan, Sr.; children, Jesse E. (Kathleen) Grogan, Constance A. (Steve) Owen, John T. (Rebecca) Grogan, Jr., Timothy A. (Ellen) Grogan; brother, Gerald F. (Beverly) Worrall; brother-in-law, Ken Goodell; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, and her sister, Mary Isabel Goodell. A memorial service for Nadine will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27th, at Central Christian Church, 6595 Guilford Rd., Rockford, IL 61107, with Pastor Sherm Nichols officiating.
