Tarpley, Clinton - Oregon  
CLINTON LEE TARPLEY, 71 BYRON - Clinton Lee Tarpley, 71, of Byron died Monday, August 31, 2015, in Serenity Hospice Home, Oregon. He was born June 18, 1944, in Baraboo, WI the son of Loren and Marie (Guetlein) Tarpley. He married Linda Haldiman in Monroe, WI on June 20, 1970. Clinton was a Navy Veteran, an American Legion member, a member of the United Church of Byron, and also the Moose Lodge in Monroe. Known as "Lodi" to his ComEd friends, Clinton retired in 1996, from ComEd as a lineman. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports. Survivors include his wife, Linda; daughter, April (Jeff) Engelbrecht of Round Lake, IL; son, Clinton (Jennifer) Tarpley of Normal, IL; grandchildren, Chloe and Conner Engelbrecht and Keagan and Gavin Tarpley; and sisters, Fran Wright, Judy (Russell) Richards, Dorothy Krueger, and Esther Dibble, all of WI. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday Sept. 4, 2015, in the United Church of Byron, with Rev. David Bateman officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 2 p.m. until time of service. Memorials may be directed to the United Church of Byron or Relay for Life. Tyrell, Pierce - Franklin Park  
PIERCE G. TYRRELL ROCKFORD - Former Rockford resident, Pierce G. Tyrrell passed away peacefully under the care of the St. Thomas Hospice in La Grange, IL. Pierce was born in Elgin, IL in 1920. He graduated from Perdue University in 1942, with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Moving to Rockford in 1943, he joined J.I Case Company then Twin Disc, working for the firm in Rockford, Racine, and Los Angeles. He was a member of Rockford's University Club since 1943. Mr. Tyrrell was predeceased by his loving wife, Marcia. He is survived by his three daughters, Julie (Kevin) McLaughlin, Susan (Thomas) Richards, and Ann (TJ) Corbin; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great- grandchild; and five step great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Mary (Richard) Myers of Lake Geneva, WI. Pierces grandfather, Dr. Pierce Tyrrell, bought property on Fontana's lakefront in 1891, where he had a home constructed. In later years, the house was sold and eventually became Chucks Lakeshore Inn. Family and friends will gather Saturday, August 29, 2015, at St. Benedict Church, 137 Dewey Ave., Fontana, WI, from 9:15 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Inurnment will take place privately at the Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin IL.
