McNeany, Alice - Rockford  
ALICE T. MCNEANY, 83 ROCKFORD - Alice T. McNeany, 83, of Rockford passed away Saturday, November 22, 2014, in her home. Born June 11, 1931, in Decorah, Iowa, she was the daughter of John and Mae (Gallagher) Mellick. Alice married James McNeany on June 15, 1957, at St. Patrick's church in Rockford. She worked as a personal secretary at various tool and die companies. Alice was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and served as a past president of the Holy Family Women's Guild, where she was Woman of the Year in 2009. She was also a member of the Catholic Women's League. Alice was on the Ethnic Heritage Museum Board and served as a past president of the Rock River Kiwanis. She was a charter member and past president of the Irish Marching Society as well as served in the auxiliary for both the Lombardi and Verdi Clubs. Alice was a driver for cancer patients through the American Cancer Society and also delivered for Meals on Wheels. She was also an avid bowler and golfer. The McNeany Family would like to give a special thank you to their many neighbors and friends for their comfort and kindness, as well as to Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care. Survived by her husband, James; daughters, Judy (Mike) DelVecchio and Jane (Paul) White; grandchildren, Dustin DelVecchio, Marguerite DelVecchio, Louis DelVecchio, Hannah White, Connor White and Olivia White. Predeceased by her grandson, Dane DelVecchio. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Road. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. ANTONIO 'ISAIAH' MUNOZ-WARE, 6 ROCKFORD - Antonio "Isaiah" Munoz-Ware, 6, of Rockford, earned his wings Thursday, November 20, 2014. Born October 10, 2008, in Jonesboro, AR, Isaiah was full of boundless energy, had a very vivid imagination, and was a very happy child. Between he and his cousins, Isaiah was the leader of the pack. Isaiah loved superheroes, and became a superhero himself when he was able to help other families through the Donate Life program. Isaiah is survived by his parents, Porshce Ware and Thyron "Brian" Edwards; little brother, Trejon; grandparents, Heather (Eric) Harlston, Pam Johnson, and David Ware; aunts, Deanna and Chantel (Michael) Ware; uncles, Damian, Anthony, and Bart Ware, and Dominic Hunt; cousins, Kamryn, Cayden and Alaysia; great-grandma and grandpa, Layng and great-grandma Ware. ANNAMARIE MCKNIGHT, 91 ROCKFORD - Annamarie McKnight, 91, of Rockford, died at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, in P.A. Peterson Center for Health. Born July 7, 1923, in Stoneboro, Pa., the daughter of Homer and Irene (Davis) McMillin. She married John F. McKnight June 19, 1949; he predeceased her in 1989. Annamarie had a great life and many friends in Grove City, Pa., where she was a member of the Tower Presbyterian Church. She will be missed by her surviving family; they are her sons, John Jr. (Myung), Jim (Nancy), and Jeff (Robin); grandchildren, Timothy (Heather), Jonathan (Michelle), Kim, Eric (Kristy), Brandon (Barbi), Katie (Nic), and Brooke; 11 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy (Elwood) Wylie. RUTHE I. MCNIFF, 93 ROCKFORD - Ruthe I. McNiff, 93, of Rockford, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014, in Fair Oaks Rehabilitation Center in South Beloit. She was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Rockford; the daughter of Carl O. and Anna G. (Gustafson) Johnson. Ruthe was a graduate of Rockford High School, Class of 1939. She married John B. Swenson Dec. 13, 1941; he predeceased her Aug. 31, 1974. She later married Richard McNiff Feb. 19, 1977, in Rockford; he predeceased her Sept. 6, 1984. Ruthe was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She belonged to I.O.F. Harmony Aux. and Ladies Chorus-Elvira Lodge 522, Vasa Lodge, Catholic Social Service PHCC Aux., and St. Anne's Aux. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Joe) Rokus and Denise Guzzardo; sons, John (Debra), Chad, and Chip (Diana) Swenson; grandchildren, Jeaneau Swenson, Heather, Shannon, and Kristen Swenson, Ryan Swenson, Jody Klus, Rory Swenson, Brian Rokus, Austin and Jordan Guzzardo. Maxey, William - Rockford  
WILLIAM 'BILL' RALPH MAXEY ROCKFORD - William "Bill" Ralph Maxey was born Sept. 25, 1925 to Robert F, Maxey and Edna (Elder) Maxey in Kinmundy, IL and passed away peacefully on Saturday Nov. 15, 2014. Bill graduated from Rock Falls High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy following graduation. After serving his country, he worked at Dohrn Transfer as a mechanic. Following retirement from Dohrn, he worked at Trans Am, Diesel Power and Burkhart Farms. Bill held memberships as a Free Mason', Tebala Shriners, Loyal Order of Moose and the V.F.W. Bill's main passion was found behind the handle bars of a motorcycle. He was a charter member and president of both Forest City Rider Motorcycle Club and Midwest National Enduro Riders Assoc. He was also a member of HOG. Bill was life time member of American Motorcycle Association where served 30 years as District Congressman. Bill spent his free time riding his motorcycles, enjoyed spending time farming, dancing, playing cards and dominoes with family, and sharing a good joke with friends. Survivors include his daughters, Audrey Maxey and Joanne Paske; sons, David, Ron (Mary) and James (Marsha) Maxey; grandchildren, Lisa Maxey, Anna (Dan) Jones, Brent and Danny Paske, Sara, Leanne, Sam, Ben and Tommy Maxey; step-grandchildren, Juanita (Kevin) Ware, Theresa (Matt) Staaf, Matt (Cindy) Voss, Melvin (Shirley) Brodston; brother-in-law, Joe Holman. DARYL L. MONSON, 45 BELVIDERE -Daryl L. Monson, 45, of Belvidere, died suddenly Saturday, November 15, 2014 at home. He was born December 5, 1968 in Harvard, IL. Son of Alan and Nadine "Dee" (Engle) Monson. He attended Belvidere schools and graduated from Belvidere High School in 1987. Daryl was employed at Bag-Makers, Inc. of Union, IL. He loved fishing and gardening. Daryl was an excellent cook, and a serious Steelers fan. He is loved and will be missed by his parents, Alan and Nadine "Dee" Monson; brothers, Robert (Margaret) Monson, Jeffrey (Kim) Monson, William Monson; nephew, Michael Monson; longtime girlfriend, Deborah Beard; best friend, Jeff Blachford; and a ton of added friends.
