ANGELO CHARLES SCANDROLI, 89 ROCKFORD - Angelo Charles Scandroli, 89, of Rockford passed away peacefully, Monday, February 10, 2014. Born April 12, 1924, in Rockford to Charles and Angeline (Cerutti) Scandroli. Angelo married the love of his life, Frances Mary Weis, on September 6, 1947, in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from Drake University just one year later with a degree in pharmacy. Angelo owned and operated 7th Street, Ken-Rock, and Alpine Pharmacies. He was Grand Knight, 4th degree, Knights of Columbus. He also proudly served on the Board of Directors of Milestone Inc. He will be truly missed. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Frances Scandroli; children, Carol Lieber, Barbara Mork, and Phillip (Jill Buckingham) Scandroli; grandchildren, Katherine (Brian) Rufh, Rebecca (Ben) Tuula, Stacey (David) Buckner, Melissa (Jeremy) Jewell, Andrew Scandroli, Adam Mork, and Alex Scandroli; great-grandchildren, Nathan Lieber, Brianna Lieber, Abigail, Samantha, Natalie, and Alex Rufh, Grace and Jackson Tuula; and sister, Rita Beyer. He is preceded by his parents, and brother-in law, Albert Beyer. Funeral Service 2 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park.
