Arline Inwood

ARLINE J. INWOOD, 88 ROCKFORD - Arline J. Inwood, 88, of Rockford, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013, in North Woods Care Center in Belvidere. Born May 19, 1925, in Rockford, the daughter of J. Adolph and Helga S. (Carlson) Johnson. She was a 1943 graduate of East High School. She married George A. Inwood September 28, 1946, in Rockford; he predeceased her May 18, 1985. Arline worked several years as a self-employed artist creating art work in lettering signs for many Rockford area businesses. She was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church and served on the evangelism committee. She is survived by her sons, Greg (Mary) Inwood of Oconomowoc, Wis., and Glenn (Roberta) Inwood, and Alan Inwood both of Rockford, Ill.; daughter, Linda (William) Cottrill of Loves Park, Ill.; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Ray) Klotz, Noelle, Adam, Matthew (Anne) Inwood and Angela Cottrill; and great-grandchildren, Haley Cottrill and Riley Klotz and Brooklyn Inwood. Predeceased by her parents. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, in Scandinavian Cemetery.
