Charles Bishop

CHARLES W. BISHOP ESTERO, Fla. - Charles W. Bishop passed away at his home on April 27, 2013, with his family at his bedside after a courageous battle with melanoma. A resident of Estero, Fla., Charles Bishop was born on May 16, 1944, in Jonesboro, Ark., to Hardy and Rosie Bishop. Charlie served on the Rockford Police Department for 33 years where he retired as a Sergeant assigned to the Patrol Bureau. Charlie is survived by his wife of 35 years Donna Bishop, and their daughter Natasha Bishop of Sherman Oaks (CA); his daughters from a previous marriage to Joan Jacobson, Betty (Chad Waits) of Mauston, WI, Shelia Kleba of Belvidere, Illinois, and Patricia (Keith) Reagan of Machesney Park, IL; and six Grandchildren and four Great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents, Hardy and Rosie Bishop, and his brother Billy. Services will be held on Thursday, May 2nd, 2013, 11:30 AM, at Shikany's Bonita Funeral Home, 28300 South Tamiami Trail, Bonita, Springs, FL 34134. Charlie lived his life with "NO REGRETS."
