Cheryl Andersen

CHERYL ANDERSEN, 64 ROCKFORD - Cheryl Andersen, 64, of Rockford passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a four year long courageous battle with cancer. Born June 10, 1948, in Ladysmith, Wis., to Lloyd and Arlene Sadler. Cheryl married Gary Andersen on April 29, 1967, and was an avid bowler, loved fishing, bird watching, arts and crafts, collecting Native American artifacts and especially helping people. Survived by husband, Gary Andersen; daughters, Jeri Andersen, Mary Andersen and Wendy (Steve) Domrzalski; grandchildren, Garrett (Kayla) Andersen, Keely Andersen and Jolie Andersen; brothers, Joseph Hull, Kevin Hull and Tracy Conkling; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and sister, Jolene Gross. The family would like to say a special thanks to the OSF Hospice nurses and staff. Memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, with visitation from 6 p.m. to time of service.
