CLAUDE 'SPIKE' CURLEY, 89 MACHESNEY PARK - Claude "Spike" Curley, 89, died Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born in Thompson, Iowa on July 4, 1924, to Ethan and Marion Curley. Claude was a faithful witness of Jehovah's Witnesses since his baptism on March 8, 1958. He was an elder in the Machesney Park English congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 56 years. Survivors include his children, Linda (Edward) Bowers, Claudia (Robert) Fansler, Richard (Marsha) Curley; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother; three half-sisters and two half-brothers. Predeceased by his parents; wife, Marcella Curley; four brothers; one half-sister; and one grandson. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at the Machesney Park Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9511 N. Second Street.
