DESIREE 'DESI' T. MANNERY, 24 ROCKFORD - Desiree "Desi" T. Mannery, 24 of Rockford passed away early Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. Desiree was born Jan. 13, 1989, in Rockford, the daughter of Donald A. Malone (deceased) and Lisa (Mannery) Joyce. Desiree was a very lovable person who touched everyone that knew her. She loved playing basketball and wanted to continue her education in engineering. She was employed by Henning Inc. Desiree graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Sauk Valley Community College in Dixion. Desiree will forever be remembered for her laughter, friendly nature and big heart. She is survived by her mother, Lisa (Mannery) Joyce; brother, Kevin Gray; sisters, Charlene Coby, Lidavia Joyce, Symone Joyce, Candice Malone, Catrese Malone and Alexandria Malone; grandparents, Minnie Mannery, and Sara Allen; grandfather, Don Malone; special uncle, Deon "Pops" Malone; three nieces; one nephew; many cousins, aunts, uncles; special friends, Tracina Dixon, Krystal Harris, Artasia "Bay" Leonard, Elsia Neal, Deana Stoner, Dewayne Person, Michael "Ice Mike" Relaford and Antavia "Tay" McGee. Predeceased by father, Donald "Antwan" Malone; grandfather, William "Charles" Mannery; and uncle, Jermaine. Service at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at Progressive Missionary Baptist Church, 109 Lincoln Park Blvd., with visitation from 9 a.m. to service time; Pastor Anthony Greer and Pastor Ken Mannery of Atlanta will oversee the services. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. Arrangements by Collins & Stone Funeral Home.
