FRANK O'KEEFE JR., 89 ROCKFORD - Frank O'Keefe Jr., 89, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in Stephenson Nursing Home. He was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Rockford; the son of Frank V. and Myrtle J. (Lindstrom) O'Keefe. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II
in the South Pacific, where he was awarded seven Battle Stars. He married Eula Ivey who predeceased him, and later married Patricia R. Johnson-Smith. Retired as an electrician for IBEW 196 and 364, and from Jim Dixon Realtors. Owner and operator of O'Keefe's Bar and Erin Courier Service. Member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Life member and past commander of VFW

Survivors include his sons, Frankie, Keven (Susan), and Kent (Cheryl); daughters, Kara (Kevin) and Heather (Andy); grandchildren, Shannon, Maggie, Kelsey, Katie, Alex, Madeline, Hope, Karsen, Owen, Andrew, and Cora; great-grandchildren, Brody and Sophia; brothers, Donald (Diane) and Dick; sister, Marilyn O'Keefe; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Vi Dent and Lisa Dent. Predeceased by first wife, Eula; second wife, Patricia; son, Jack; daughter, Kathleen; brothers, Jack and Jim; and sister, Doris Broman.
