Harold Hillman

HAROLD BUFORD HILLMAN, 84 ROCKFORD - Harold Buford Hillman, 84, died on December 15, 2013. Born on August 5, 1929, in Nicholville, Virginia; married Margaret Baker on August 14, 1976. Harold honorably served his country during the Cold War and Korean War as a radar operator. He worked as an iron worker, Local 498, for 37 years. He played guitar for many years in a band and after retiring he formed the Generation Band which played at many nursing homes. He was privileged to play with Bernie Daily and Polly Anderson. He was always ready to help a neighbor or friend. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Hillman; and grandson, Eric Hillman. Predeceased by parents; two sons, Jimmy Dale and Wade Hillman; and five brothers. Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. with a visitation from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday, December 19, 2013, in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel, 4311 N.
