Hazel Trosper-Clark

HAZEL TROSPER-CLARK, 91 ROCKFORD - Hazel Trosper-Clark, 91, of Rockford passed away Thursday April 4, 2013, at The Atrium Light House. Hazel was born on the family farm located at the junction of 173 & 76 in Poplar Grove area. She was the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Clark. Hazel attended a country school called the Quail Trap; she then attended Poplar Grove and Caledonia High Schools and graduated from Belvidere High School. Hazel worked at Belvidere National Sewing Machine Factory for 4 years until her marriage to Eugene Trosper on October 14, 1945; he preceded her in death in 1993. They lived in the Poplar Grove area until 1953, then moved and lived in Loves Park from 1953 until 2013. Hazel is survived by her son, William and wife, Linda; daughter, Judy and husband, Bob; granddaughter, Laura and husband, Dan; nieces and nephews also survive. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Lawrence and Harlow; sister-in-law, Becky Clark. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to her special neighbor, Helen Sell-King for her watchful eye over Hazel. Funeral service to celebrate Hazel's life will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
