Myrtle Donoho

MYRTLE LEE 'BUGGS' GENTRY DONOHO ROCKFORD - Myrtle Lee " Buggs" Gentry Donoho, of Rockford departed this life Saturday, April 5, 2014, at River Bluff Nursing Home, after a long illness. She was born January 11, 1924, in Cayce, MS; the daughter of Vance and Mary Gentry. Myrtle lived in Rockford since 2007, coming from Memphis, TN. She married James Donoho Jr., May 10, 1959, he preceded her in death. She was employed as a teacher by Memphis City School Systems 29 years before retiring. Myrtle was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, over the Youth Group for 50 years and a member of Lay Leadership. She graduated from West High School, Rockford, in 1943, later to graduate from West Virginia State University in 1948. Myrtle leaves to cherish many memories, daughter, Lori Donoho; brother, Ingram (Lura) Gentry; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home, 2429 W. State St. Burial in Memphis National Cemetery.
