PERCY GENE 'PETE' GRANT, 87 EDDYVILLE, Ky. - Percy Gene Grant, 87, of Eddyville, Ky., also known as, Daddy, Dad, Pa Paw and Tucky Pa, went to be with his wife, Betty, Saturday, May 11, 2013, in his daughters home in Machesney Park, Ill., surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 28, 1925, in Uniontown, Ky., son of Charles and ListaR (Borup) Grant. Veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. Married Betty J. Bradford on Oct. 26, 1946, in Uniontown. Coal Miner in Kentucky for many years. Retired from National Can in Loves Park. Member of Uniontown Methodist Church, Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Rockford, and Friendship Methodist Church in Eddyville, Ky. Past Master of the Uniontown Masonic Lodge. Avid fisherman and die hard UK Wildcats Basketball fan. Survivors include daughter, Janie Fogle; twin sons, Tim (Marilyn) and Kim (Linda) Grant; daughter-in-law, Pam Grant; grandchildren, Dawn, Beth, Marc, Andrea, Justin, Natalie, Kyle, Theresa, Terry Grant, Keith and Peter; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sister, Mary Lois Richardson; half-sister, Tean (Leo) Wilson; sister-in-law, Betty Grant; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; son, Alan Gene Grant; grandson, Jacob Alan Grant, son-in-law, Terry Fogle; and half brother, George Grant. Service at 1 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Uniontown Methodist Church in Uniontown. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, in Whitsell Funeral Home, Morganfield, Ky.
