Ronald Blecker

RONALD 'RON' F. BLECKER, 72 ROCKFORD - Ronald "Ron" F. Blecker, 72, of Rockford, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born July 30, 1940, in Rockford, the son of Kenneth and Lorraine (Tripp) Blecker. Attended Harlem schools and proudly served in the U.S. Navy. Ron married Sandra M. Ulven on Jan. 24, 1970, in Rockford. Ron had a contagious smile and an infectious personality which brought his family and friends much joy. He worked and traveled the world for Rockford Automation for almost 20 years, and then he successfully founded and operated Air Tool Service Center, which carries on after more than 20 years in business. Ron is survived by his wife, Sandi; sons, Ron Blecker, Rick (Amie) Blecker, Terry (Tessie) Pody and Matt (Heather) Blecker; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers, Don (Carol) Blecker and Glen (Donna) Blecker; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, aunts and uncles. A celebration of Ron's life from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Hawks View Restaurant, 11189 Forest Hills Road in Machesney Park.
