Wilbur Nutt

WILBUR C. NUTT, 77 BELVIDERE - Wilbur C. Nutt, 77, of Belvidere, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. He was born May 14, 1935, in Janesville, Wisconsin, the son of Floyd and Bernice (Morehead) Nutt. Wilbur was married to Marilyn J. Luckey in Belvidere on August 13, 1960. He was a truck driver for Turner Equipment. Veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. Wilbur attended the First United Methodist Church. He was a former member of the Boone County Fair Board; the local 4-H group and Flora Township Zoning Board. Wilbur is survived by his son, Tom (Perla) Nutt; daughter, Carol (Joe Sartino) Rosenquist; 6 grandchildren, Desiree Rosenquist, Danielle Rosenquist, Shale Rosenquist, Cassius Rosenquist, David Castro and Carrie (Brian Smith) Castro; great-granddaughter, Lacey Smith. He was preceded in death by parents and wife, Marilyn. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30, in Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. The Rev. James Crone, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, in the funeral home. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials to the Flora Grange.
