Jeffrey Mucha Obituary

JEFFREY J. MUCHA, 66 ROSCOE - Jeffrey J. Mucha, 66, of Roscoe, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, in OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, following a sudden illness. He was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Kankakee; the son of John and Julia (Hughes) Mucha. Jeff lived in the Rockford area for the past 62 years, coming here from Kankakee. He was married to Patricia G. Carlson on May 15, 1971, in Iron River, Mich. Jeff was an accountant and financial advisor with the Mucha Group, Inc. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Jeff was an avid sports fan who supported the University of Michigan, football, Indiana University, basketball and the Cubs. Jeff graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in marketing as well as receiving a M.S. in marketing from University of Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Roscoe; son, Aaron Mucha of Las Vegas; and brother-in-law, David Carlson of Iron River. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in Christ Lutheran Church, 425 E. Riverside Blvd., Belvidere, with visitation from 9:15 to 9:50 a.m.; the Revs. Twila Schock and Joy Alsop, will officiate. Cremation has taken place. I always enjoyed Jeff over the years--he gave me so much peace of mind, humor, knowledge, and a can do attitude about everything. It was the personal touch he gave in his business that so many of us loved. When he called US and said, time to send me X because it is due 2 weeks form now. I loved that about him! He kept you on track.I tried other accounts when I moved to fla--but all paled to Jeff. So he did take me on in Fla...so it was over 25+ years of a great relationship. He will be GREATLY missed by all of us.

Pat and Aaron, we send our prayers and condolences for your loss. We also send apologies for our absence at Jeff's visitation and service; we planned to attend but saw the announcemnt too late.
We will miss Jeff. He has been our accountant for many years, and above all, he was our friend. He was understanding, patient, and encouraging, and always had time for us. The fact that you, Pat, was our children's Spanish teacher at Boylan (Anthony and Lina) made our friendship even more enjoyable.
