Emily, when your mother was on my team at Houghton Mifflin, she talked often about how proud she was of you and how her love for you was the most wonderful part of her life. I am very sad about her passing and I wish I could have been there for her memorial service. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers and will take comfort in knowing she will be watching over you and loving you for eternity. May God bless and sustain you and your family during this difficult time. Gail Buie

Emily,
Your Mom' service was amazing. The common theme throughout the entire service was her love for you! She was so proud of you and still is! You were her reason for living! I know I am a better person for having known her. Lori

I will always remember Michelle's optimism and words of encouragement, especially during my first, very difficult, year of teaching. If not for her encouragement, I may not have stayed in the teaching profession. She was truly an inspiration, and she will be missed.

To the family of Michele, especially daughter, Emily, you have been in my thoughts and prayers for many many years. I have always thought of you as one of my grandkids, of
Rainbow Learning Center and Academy. We have lost so many parents over the past years and none so great as the biggest fighter of cancer, our lovely Michele Tegland, May God give you peace to know that your mom is now living a pain and cancer free life as many of our others are. I love you!! Grandma Sharon (Mitchell) from the Rainbow family

Michelle was a true inspiration to those around her; especially during her time with Rockford Lutheran Schools. She was a fantastic leader and one RLS should be very proud to have had under their roof.

Seeing Michele's smile in her obituary brought back a flood of good memories. Michele brought out the best of everyone. When you were with her, you were at your best. We all lost a true friend.
