NORMAN C. WEISHAAR, 81 ASHTON - Norman C. Weishaar, 81, of Ashton passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at CGH Hospital, Sterling. Born Sept. 1, 1930 to Emrich and Marie Weishaar. He graduated from Ashton High School and married Wanda Sue Hotchkiss on July 26, 1952, in Ashton. Norman was a charter member of the Ashton Lions Club and an active member of the Sterling Moose and Dixon Elks Club. He enjoyed big band music and dancing. He continued to operate his father's business, presently called Weishaar Imp. Norman enjoyed sales and service to his many customers. Survived by wife, Wanda; son, Jeffrey G. Weishaar of Ashton; daughter, Jan P. (Brad) Zimmerman of Rice Lake, Wis.; grandsons, Jason William Zimmerman and Ryan Jay Zimmerman; and sisters, Berniece Ennen and Pauline Meurer, both of Ashton. Predeceased by parents, Emrich and Marie. Service at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ashton. Interment in Ashton Cemetery. Visitation from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 2, at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home, Ashton, and from 9 a.m. Saturday to time of service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Ashton Lions Club.
