AUDREY M. FARNHAM, 90 ROCKFORD - Audrey Marion Elizabeth Farnham (Goom), 90, of Rockford passed away Monday, May 20, 2013, to be reunited with her husband, Ralph. She was born on October 6, 1922, in Bracknell, England. A member of the Women's Land Army of England, she met U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant Ralph Potter Farnham during WWII. Love at first sight, they were married on April 25, 1943, in Sunninghill, England, they shared 68 years together. A caring and dedicated volunteer, Audrey enjoyed more than 45 years of service at the River Bluff Nursing Home. In 2003, Lifescape awarded her as Super Senior of the Year. She is survived by sons, Douglas and Gregory (Sandra); grandchildren, Michelle McGee, Nicolette (Andy) Stine, Rosemary (Eric) Langusch, Robert, Gregory Edward and Charles J. Farnham; great- grandchildren, Christopher, Zack, Emma, Ben, Alex, Easton and Theodore. She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph P. Farnham; son, Bruce; and sisters, Millie and Evlyn. A very special thanks to all the staff at Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Brooke Road United Methodist Church, 1404 Brooke Road, Rockford, with Rev. Christopher Druce Jones officiating. Memorial visitation from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice.
